Our History
Our history dates back to the mid-1980s when we were known as MPS Acacia, providing neonatal intensive care products and various other items to pharmacies and laboratories both domestically and internationally.
In November 2013, the Drug Quality and Security Act was signed into law, introducing the FDA’s 503B section, which allowed compounders to become outsourcing facilities.
In September 2014, we established a new company, MPS Medical, Inc., to cater specifically to the needs of 503B compounding pharmacies and other medical products.
In March 2021, ownership of the company changed, but our core principles remained unchanged. We rebranded as MPS Pharma & Medical, Inc., with the primary goal of becoming the leading container provider for 503B compounding pharmacies. We also retained some of our legacy medical product lines to maintain our FDA registration as a Medical Device Manufacturer.
MPS Pharma & Medical, Inc. continues to operate as an FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer, maintaining Class 7 cleanrooms for production at our Brea, California facilities.
